Beautiful Shellharbour

Shellharbour is the heart of the Illawarra holiday playground, nestled between the city of Wollongong to its north, picturesque Kiama to its south and the Southern Highlands to its west.

The Shellharbour City local government area covers 154 square kilometres, offering long sandy beaches, rural tranquility, a great night life, modern shopping, a variety of recreational facilities and a friendly community.

Shellharbour is a water and nature lovers paradise, with pristine waterways, long sandy beaches, and close access to Lake Illawarra. Surfing, swimming, snorkelling and fishing are common pastimes.

The Shellharbour area also contains the beautiful Killalea State Park, and Macquaire Pass National Park, as well as areas of remnant rainforest, and to the west, green valley farmland.

Shellharbour City suburbs include Shellharbour Village, Flinders, Albion Park, Warilla, Oak Flats, Albion Park Rail and Barrack Heights. Shellharbour Village in particular retains its village atmosphere and along Addison St there are a number of boutiques, cafes and restaurants.

Bounded by the Illawarra escarpment, the Minnamurra River, Lake Illawarra and the Tasman Sea, Shellharbour is a beautiful place to live, work and visit and Shellharbour Workers' Club is proud to be part of this great community.
